Senior Software Engineer — Backend
Overview
Build and scale the core payments platform that processes millions of transactions a month for B2B customers. You will own services end-to-end in a squad of 6 engineers.

What you will do
Design, build and operate Java/Spring Boot microservices that are reliable, observable and secure by default.
Build event-driven workflows on Kafka with correct idempotency, ordering and retry handling.
Model data and tune queries in PostgreSQL; use Redis for caching and rate limiting.
Deploy and run services on AWS with Kubernetes; own on-call for your services on a fair rotation.
Apply secure coding practices: input validation, secrets management, least-privilege access and OWASP Top 10 awareness.
Review code, write design docs and mentor mid-level engineers.
Requirements
5–8 years building backend systems, including 3+ years on Java and Spring Boot in production.
Experience designing and operating microservices with asynchronous messaging (Kafka or similar).
Strong relational database skills, preferably PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience deploying to a major cloud (AWS preferred) with containers and Kubernetes.
Track record of owning a service in production: monitoring, incident response and post-mortems.
Nice to have
Go in production.
Payments, fintech or other high-reliability domain experience.
Exposure to PCI DSS or similar compliance environments.
Compensation & benefits
Compensation: upto INR 25 LPA fixed CTC, plus ESOPs, group health insurance for family and parents, Provident Fund, gratuity per the Payment of Gratuity Act, learning budget and home-office allowance.
Notice period
Notice Period: Up to 30 days preferred; notice buyout available for strong candidates.
